AEW Dynamite & Collision Rundown
AEW Dynamite –
The night kicked off with a tense recap from AEW Collision, where tragedy struck as Kota Ibushi suffered a serious injury after a brutal fall during his match with Josh Alexander. Just when the situation couldn’t get worse, Mark Davis made a shocking return, launching a vicious assault on Ibushi to strengthen the ever-dangerous Don Callis Family. The attack sent shockwaves through AEW, leaving fans questioning how far Callis’ influence would spread.
However, AEW never stays quiet for long—Kenny Omega stormed the scene, chasing off Davis and standing tall in defense of his fallen friend. In a surprising twist, “Jungle” Jack Perry extended a hand of alliance to Omega, uniting against their shared enemies in the Don Callis Family. That uneasy partnership set the stage for tonight’s high-stakes trios clash between Omega and Jurassic Express taking on Davis, Hechicero, and Josh Alexander, promising fireworks before WrestleDream 2025.
Famous Last Words Turn Physical – Kris Statlander and Toni Storm Explode Before AEW WrestleDream 2025
Backstage, Renee Paquette sat down with AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander and her WrestleDream 2025 challenger, “Timeless” Toni Storm, for what was supposed to be a calm interview. Both women had agreed to keep things civil, but tensions rose the moment they sat across from each other. As they began removing their jackets—almost preparing for a fight—Renee stepped in, frustrated, trying to get their final thoughts before Saturday night.
Toni Storm broke the silence with emotion:
“Kris, it’s not you, it’s me. When I lost that title, I thought I’d feel free—but I felt nothing. My heart only beats when I dream of winning it back. I am that title. And if you’re the one who must take everything from me to find out who I truly am, then so be it.”
The crowd watching in Kansas City gasped as Storm’s poetic declaration turned dark. Statlander calmly fired back with confidence and grit:
“You’ve lost yourself in that title, Toni. You’ve never figured me out because I keep evolving. I’m already stronger than the woman you faced at All Out. I’m the champion of this world—determined, relentless, extraordinary.”
The tension became unbearable as Storm stood up and said, “Professional wrestling is a lie that reveals the truth. At WrestleDream, we’ll find out that truth.”
Moments later, both women tore off their microphones and stormed toward the ring, ignoring Paquette’s pleas. Once there, fists flew—Storm tackled Statlander with a Thesz Press, Statlander fired back with a fireman’s carry slam, and the chaos escalated until Storm shockingly handed Statlander the AEW Women’s World Championship, offering a free shot.
When Statlander refused, Storm struck with a headbutt and a release German suplex, but the champion regained control, mocking Storm’s own mind games by kneeling and offering the same “free shot.” Instead of swinging, Storm placed the title on Statlander’s shoulder, kissed her forehead, and walked away—leaving an arena full of stunned fans and the champion standing tall before their AEW WrestleDream 2025 showdown.
Jurassic Express Sends Emotional Message to the Young Bucks Ahead of AEW WrestleDream 2025
Backstage, “Jungle” Jack Perry sat alone with a somber look, delivering a heartfelt message to his AEW WrestleDream 2025 opponents, The Young Bucks. With calm intensity, Perry reflected on their shared history and the painful truth that drove him to reunite with his monstrous partner, Luchasaurus.
“Bucks, I just want to tell you—I don’t hate you. If I’m being honest, I love you guys, and I’ll always be grateful for everything you did for me. But when I needed you the most, you didn’t pick up the phone. You didn’t have my back. So I had to look deep into my past to find someone who would.”
As those words echoed, a low growl filled the scene. The camera panned to reveal Luchasaurus, standing menacingly behind Perry, his glare filled with fury and loyalty. The visual said it all — Jurassic Express is back together, united by betrayal and revenge, ready to make The Young Bucks pay at AEW WrestleDream 2025.
Tag Team Chaos – The Hurt Syndicate Vs. Gates of Agony
The tag team division heated up on AEW Dynamite and Collision Results as Gates of Agony (Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun) scored a statement victory over The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin) in a physical tag team clash. With both sides set to meet again at AEW WrestleDream 2025, this encounter in St. Louis served as an explosive preview of what’s coming.
The match began with Kaun and Benjamin exchanging heavy blows, continuing their rivalry from last week’s brutal street fight. Benjamin controlled the pace early, keeping Kaun isolated for Lashley to tag in and punish him with a powerful stalling suplex and repeated shoulder thrusts. The Kansas City crowd roared for a Lashley–Liona collision, but the big men’s confrontation was delayed when Ricochet distracted the referee, allowing Kaun to regain control.
Kaun made a blind tag to Liona, who exploded onto the scene with a devastating Samoan Drop on Lashley outside the ring. The Demand took full advantage, battering Lashley around ringside until “The All Mighty” countered with a massive overhead belly-to-belly suplex and tagged Benjamin back in. The veteran unleashed a flurry—corner splash, high kick, and a brutal step-up knee that sent Ricochet crashing off the apron.
Just when The Hurt Syndicate seemed poised to win, Ricochet once again interfered, landing a Spirit Gun behind the referee’s back. Despite MVP’s attempt to strike Ricochet with his cane, Kaun capitalized with a quick roll-up to score the three-count.
Winners: Gates of Agony (Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun)
After the bell, MVP entered the ring and struck Kaun with his cane, venting his frustration over the loss. The Demand pulled Kaun from the ring as Lashley and Benjamin glared at their manager, clearly angry over the interference gone wrong. This marks the first pinfall defeat for The Hurt Syndicate in AEW, and tensions are rising fast with AEW WrestleDream 2025 just days away.
Darby Allin vs. Jon Moxley – Brutal Face-to-Face Turns Violent Ahead of AEW WrestleDream 2025
The road to AEW WrestleDream 2025 took a shocking turn when Darby Allin and Jon Moxley came face-to-face earlier today in a tense, closed-room confrontation that ended in pure chaos.
After footage aired of Allin’s unexpected ambush on Moxley at New York Comic Con, AEW cameras captured both men in separate glass-walled rooms. Speaking through a screen, Moxley opened by questioning the purpose of their upcoming “I Quit” match, declaring that neither man would ever surrender and that this was about “the future of professional wrestling.”
Darby Allin fired back, bringing up Bryan Danielson and accusing Moxley of betraying those closest to him. Allin vowed to defend AEW’s spirit and promised to wrap the AEW flag around Moxley’s throat until he uttered the words “I quit.”
Moxley, showing no remorse, told Allin that his real battle wasn’t with the Death Riders—it was with the ghosts of his past. But before Allin could respond, PAC brutally ambushed him from behind. The assault was relentless, with PAC repeatedly slamming Allin’s head into the table and the walls until blood poured down the glass separating him from Moxley.
As PAC stood over the fallen Allin, Moxley coldly walked away, leaving his WrestleDream opponent in a heap. Moments later, Moxley, PAC, and Marina Shafir made their way into the arena together, signaling that the Death Riders are more dangerous—and united—than ever.
The rivalry between Darby Allin and Jon Moxley has reached its boiling point, and at AEW WrestleDream 2025, one man will be forced to utter the words he’s sworn never to say: “I quit.”
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Roderick Strong
Following the violent earlier scenes between Darby Allin and Jon Moxley, AEW action continued with a technical war as Claudio Castagnoli faced Roderick Strong in a one-on-one showdown. Both men came out alone, with Kyle O’Reilly scheduled to compete later alongside Orange Cassidy against Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia of the Death Riders.
The match began as a pure grappling clinic, with both men trading holds and counters until Castagnoli broke the stalemate with a thunderous European uppercut. Strong retaliated with sharp chops, but another uppercut from Castagnoli swung the momentum right back in his favor. The Swiss powerhouse dominated with heavy strikes and tight headlocks, keeping Strong on the defensive.
Strong found an opening when he baited Castagnoli between the ropes and delivered a brutal backbreaker on the edge of the ring. He tried to follow up with double boots, but Castagnoli caught him midair and swung him directly into the guardrail, earning a huge reaction from the St. Louis crowd.
Back inside, Castagnoli unloaded with his signature barrage of uppercuts, but Strong refused to stay down, countering with a dropkick and a flurry of elbows. When Castagnoli attempted the Giant Swing, Strong escaped and landed a precise flying knee before hitting a devastating high-angle backbreaker on the guardrail.
Both men battled to the top rope, where Strong managed to slam Claudio spine-first across the turnbuckle. However, when Strong went for a leaping knee strike to finish the job, Castagnoli caught him midair and launched him upward into a brutal European uppercut for the three-count!
With this victory, Claudio Castagnoli reached his 100th career win in AEW, a milestone that cements his place among the company’s elite competitors.
Don Callis’ Birthday Bash Turns Triumphant as Konosuke Takeshita Captures IWGP Heavyweight Championship
The night took a celebratory turn as AEW spotlighted Don Callis’ birthday celebration, with nearly every member of The Don Callis Family in attendance. The table was filled with gifts, laughter, and plenty of ego, as Callis began his State of the Family address — proudly proclaiming that their growing ranks equate to growing power within AEW.
Before Callis could open his presents, TNT Champion “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher unveiled a surprise video message from Konosuke Takeshita, who vowed to win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship for Callis and the Family. The message, however, was abruptly cut off when AEW Unified Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada “accidentally” pressed a button on the remote, ending the video prematurely.
When Callis asked what had happened, Okada smirked and simply said, “I pressed the wrong button. I’m sorry.”
Trying not to show tension, Callis laughed it off, replying, “All good, boss.” The Family then raised their glasses in a toast — a subtle moment that hinted at both unity and unease within the group.
The celebration didn’t end there. AEW then aired highlights of Konosuke Takeshita’s monumental victory at NJPW King of Pro Wrestling 2025, where he defeated Zack Sabre Jr. to capture the IWGP Heavyweight Championship — fulfilling his promise to Don Callis and marking another power move for the Family.
With Takeshita now holding one of Japan’s most prestigious titles and Callis’ influence spreading across AEW and NJPW, The Don Callis Family’s dominance continues to grow stronger than ever.
Kenny Omega & Jurassic Vs. The Don Callis Family in Chaos-Filled Main Event
The main event of the night saw Kenny Omega team up with “Jungle” Jack Perry and Luchasaurus to take on The Don Callis Family’s Mark Davis, Josh Alexander, and Hechicero in a chaotic and emotionally charged trios match.
From the opening bell, Omega wanted Alexander, but Hechicero stepped in instead. The lucha technician immediately targeted Omega’s previously injured left leg, twisting and stretching it in painful holds. Omega managed to counter and dove to the outside with a plancha on Hechicero — but when he turned his attention to Alexander, Mark Davis leveled him with a brutal clothesline, giving the Family control.
The trio of Alexander, Davis, and Hechicero dominated Omega in their corner with relentless offense, each hitting a corner clothesline before Alexander re-entered to punish the leg again. Omega fought through the pain to tag in Perry, who came in hot with rapid attacks and crisp teamwork alongside Luchasaurus. Their chemistry overwhelmed Alexander briefly, but Davis reasserted control by shoulder-blocking Perry out of the ring.
Perry became the target of a sustained assault, trapped in the wrong corner as the Family picked him apart. Every time he tried to reach for help, his partners were taken out on the outside. When he finally kicked out of Alexander’s ankle lock, Omega returned to the apron to a massive ovation and got the hot tag.
Omega exploded into the match with his signature fireman’s carry into a moonsault combo and near fall on Alexander. Don Callis intervened, grabbing Omega’s ankle and allowing Alexander to suplex him twice — but Omega countered the third and hit a crushing knee strike.
The pace quickened as all six men got involved. Luchasaurus and Davis exchanged heavy blows, Perry nailed a DDT, and Omega blasted Hechicero with a knee before Davis stopped him with a knockout right hand. The action spilled everywhere, but in the end, Perry sacrificed himself, shoving Omega out of the way of a lariat from Davis and taking the shot himself.
With momentum on their side, Omega and Luchasaurus hit a creative counter, using a chokeslam-assisted break on Hechicero’s submission attempt. That set up the finish — Luchasaurus hoisted Hechicero on his shoulders while Perry hit a Doomsday Device to score the win for their team!
Winner – Kenny Omega & Jurassic Express.
The celebration didn’t last long, however. The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) hit the ring and blindsided the victors with superkicks to both Luchasaurus and Perry. Omega rushed in to protect Perry, leading to a tense standoff between the Elite brothers. The confrontation boiled over until Luchasaurus double-clotheslined the Bucks, and Omega, Perry, and Luchasaurus united to fend off both the Bucks and the Don Callis Family, with Perry soaring through the air for a spectacular moonsault to close the show!
AEW Collision –
Jamie Hayter Vs. Skye Blue – Hayter Overcomes
Collision opened with a hard-hitting matchup between Jamie Hayter and Skye Blue, continuing the heated rivalry with the Triangle of Madness. The match began with fundamental mat wrestling, but Blue quickly struck first — only to awaken Hayter’s ferocity. Hayter dominated early with powerful elbow strikes, a flurry of corner punches, and back-to-back snap suplexes that sent Blue reeling to the floor.
The numbers game came into play as Julia Hart interfered, allowing Blue to land a dangerous neckbreaker from the apron. Hayter fought back, countering Blue’s moves with an explosive exploder suplex, multiple reversals, and a devastating backbreaker across her knee. The match remained competitive, with Blue nearly sealing the win after hitting a Sliced Bread off the ropes. In the closing moments, Hayter finally secured victory with her signature Hayterade, pinning Blue after a brutal series of strikes and slams.
Winner – Jamie Hayter.
Post-match, Thekla appeared backstage, hyping up her looming challenge. She told Hayter, “My game has no rules because my name means chaos, and my name means poison, baby. On Saturday, it’s gonna get toxic to the core. Impress me.” The challenge sets up a high-stakes collision for AEW WrestleDream 2025.
“10 Belts Moné” Mercedes Moné Sets Sights on Even Bigger Records Ahead of WrestleDream
AEW’s own Mercedes Moné, proudly displaying all 10 of her championships, sat down with Renee Paquette to declare herself “The greatest of all-time, Ultimo Moné.” The reigning TBS Champion made it clear that her accomplishments are far from over, as she prepares for a historic weekend.
While Paquette asked about WrestleDream 2025, Moné reminded fans that she’ll first defend the CMLL Women’s Championship against Persephone in Arena México on Friday. That same day, she will also break the record to become the longest-reigning TBS Champion in history at 509 days. Moné emphasized that she’ll enter WrestleDream carrying all 10 of her belts and her record-breaking status, promising to cement her legacy as one of AEW’s most dominant competitors.
AEW World Trios Champions – The Opps Vs. LFI in Hard-Hitting Title Defense
The AEW World Trios Championship was on the line as The Opps — Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata — defended their titles against the formidable LFI trio of RUSH, Dralístico, and The Beast Mortos in a high-stakes, hard-hitting match on Collision. AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page joined commentary, keeping a watchful eye on Samoa Joe, his WrestleDream challenger.
The action kicked off with Hobbs and Mortos trading heavy corner strikes, with Hobbs gaining early control using powerful clotheslines. A distraction by Dralístico allowed Mortos to hit a precise slingblade from the middle rope, momentarily shifting momentum. Hobbs recovered, tagging in Shibata, who exchanged German suplexes and strikes with RUSH, keeping the crowd roaring. A desperate STO from Shibata took both men down, letting Joe and Mortos re-enter for a fast-paced three-on-three slugfest.
Chaos ensued as Joe attacked Mortos with corner strikes, but LFI kept the pressure on with a triple-team dropkick and double-team wheelbarrow spear, slamming Shibata’s head into the bottom rope. Despite the relentless assault, Shibata showed incredible resilience, firing back with boots, chops, and strikes, buying time for Hobbs to return. Hobbs dominated with a double clothesline and World’s Most Dangerous Slam, setting up Joe for the finish. Samoa Joe locked in the Coquina Clutch on Dralístico, forcing a submission and securing the victory for The Opps.
Winner – The Opps.
Post-match chaos erupted as LFI gained a four-on-three advantage with Sammy Guevara joining RUSH. Page left commentary to intervene, but Joe slammed the AEW World Championship into Page’s chest, leaving a tense and chaotic scene as Collision transitioned to its final segment of the night.
Tag Team Clash – Death Riders (Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta) Vs. O’Reilly & Orange Cassidy
The AEW Collision action continued with a high-stakes tag team match as Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta of the Death Riders faced Kyle O’Reilly & Orange Cassidy of The Conglomeration in a battle full of history, intensity, and chaotic moments. This marked the first time Garcia and Yuta officially teamed under the Death Riders banner, despite their previous rivalry in ROH.
The match began with Garcia starting against Cassidy, showcasing his mat wrestling, only for Cassidy to respond by mocking Garcia’s old dance, fueling his frustration. O’Reilly tagged in, and the Conglomeration dominated early, delivering precise chops and stereo suplexes on the floor. The Death Riders fought back, using the guardrails for punishment and slamming Cassidy with a brainbuster onto the barrier. In-ring, Garcia and Yuta targeted O’Reilly with relentless elbows, while Cassidy kept momentum for his team with kicks, DDTs, and a near-fall Beach Break.
Chaos erupted as Jon Moxley made his way through the crowd, Cassidy attempted his Orange Punch, and O’Reilly executed a flying knee. However, Castagnoli’s arrival ringside shifted the tide, allowing Garcia to cover O’Reilly for the pinfall.
Winner – Death Riders.
Post-match, the Death Riders continued to assault their opponents until Roderick Strong and Tomohiro Ishii intervened, only for the numbers advantage to remain in favor of the Death Riders. Then, Darby Allin made his dramatic entrance, battered from PAC’s earlier attack. Despite heavy blood loss and repeated assaults from Castagnoli, PAC, and the Death Riders, Allin crawled to the ring. He laid the AEW flag he carried from Mount Everest at Jon Moxley’s feet and gasped into the microphone:
“It’s never too late, Jon…to say ‘I quit.’”
Moxley grabbed Allin and spiked him onto the flag with a Death Rider, leaving a shocking final image and a tense setup heading into WrestleDream.
Megan Bayne Vs. Harley Cameron
The AEW Collision action saw Megan Bayne put her immense power on full display against Harley Cameron, with FTR and Big Stoke backing her from ringside. Bayne came out with a microphone, taunting her opponents and daring them to challenge her, setting the tone for an intense showdown.
Before the bell, chaos erupted as Willow Nightingale, JetSpeed, and Cameron hit the ring. Nightingale and Cameron executed a double DDT on Bayne, while Bailey and Kevin Knight took out FTR from the top ropes, turning the match into a high-octane brawl.
Once the match officially began, Bayne showcased her brute strength, throwing Cameron across the ring, crushing her in the corner, and landing multiple bodyslams. Cameron fought back with agility, trapping Bayne in the tree of woe and landing a DDT for a nearfall. The two exchanged high-impact maneuvers, including a Falcon Arrow, sunset flip from the top, and several clotheslines, keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats.
In the end, Bayne’s raw power proved too much, as she executed a devastating running Liger Bomb to put Cameron away and secure the hard-fought victory. This match further cemented Bayne as a dominant force in AEW’s women’s division.
Winner – Magen Bayne
Eddie Kingston & HOOK Set Their Sights on Tag Team Action at AEW Saturday Tailgate Brawl
After securing two impressive singles victories over LFI, Eddie Kingston is ready to shift focus to the tag team division alongside HOOK. The duo is set to appear at the upcoming AEW Saturday Tailgate Brawl, promising anyone in the tag ranks a tough night if they step up. Kingston and HOOK are looking to make a statement and establish themselves as a dominant force in AEW’s tag team scene.
Anthony Bowens & Max Caster Refuse to Team Up Again
Backstage, Alicia Atout caught up with Anthony Bowens and Max Caster, who made it clear they never want to tag together again despite their consecutive wins as a team. The duo argued over plaques and recognition, with Atout reminding them they might not have full control over their future matches.
Bowens even pleaded with Tony Khan to prevent any future bookings with Caster, who echoed the same sentiment. As they walked away, Atout jokingly referred to them as The Acclaimed, prompting the pair to return and firmly reject the moniker before leaving once more.
Trios Match: Mark Briscoe & AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido Defeat The Don Callis Family
In the main event, Mark Briscoe teamed with Brodido—the combination of ROH World Champion Bandido and Brody King—to take on The Don Callis Family’s TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher, Lance Archer, and Rocky Romero.
Briscoe started the match but had to battle through Romero and Archer before reaching Fletcher. With WrestleDream just three days away, Fletcher and Briscoe exchanged brief confrontations before Brodido joined in to triple-team Fletcher. Despite Brody King refusing to cooperate fully with Bandido, Briscoe and Brodido coordinated enough to keep Fletcher on the defensive. Fletcher seized an early opportunity with a cheap shot and maintained control until a double clothesline leveled both him and his teammates.
King and Archer tagged in, with King nearly finishing Archer with a Death Valley Driver. Bandido re-entered but Archer isolated him with a crossbody, targeting his already-injured shoulder. Fletcher, Romero, and Archer executed a series of triple-team maneuvers, yet Bandido refused to stay down. Fletcher tried to dominate with half-and-half suplexes, only to be met with a counter kick from Bandido. King and Briscoe regrouped to confront Romero, while Bandido slammed him with a press slam.
Fletcher saved Romero from the pin attempt, leading to a wild exchange between Fletcher and Briscoe until Fletcher was sent outside. Briscoe followed with a running blockbuster from the apron, and Brodido capped the match with a double-team sitdown piledriver on Romero, securing the victory for their team.
Winner: Mark Briscoe & Brodido (Bandido & Brody King)
Fletcher and Briscoe continued brawling backstage as Brodido celebrated in the ring. Suddenly, El Clon appeared at the top of the ramp—but it was a distraction. Kazuchika Okada struck from behind, attacking Brodido and hitting King with his AEW Unified Championship before laying out Bandido with a Rainmaker. Okada then posed with both AEW World Tag Team Championships, sending a clear message just three days before he and Konosuke Takeshita challenge for the titles at WrestleDream.
