AEW Collision Results: August 16, 2025 — Full Recap. AEW Collision returned to the Andrew J Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Fans were hyped, with only eight days remaining until AEW Forbidden Door in London. Tonight featured big matches, debuts, and surprise confrontations. The main event was a Technical Spectacle 4-Way. Nigel McGuinness, Daniel Garcia, Hechicero, and ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty competed. The winner would face Zack Sabre Jr. for the IWGP World Championship next week.
Also on the card, JetSpeed challenged Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta in tag action. “Timeless” Toni Storm spoke to the Cincinnati crowd. Athena interrupted with her trademark arrogance. Four top women—Kris Statlander, Julia Hart, Anna Jay, and Penelope Ford—competed for $100,000. Ricochet faced debuting Ace Austin. Juice Robinson battled “The Bad Apple” Bryan Keith. Paragon faced Blake Christian and Lee Johnson.
“Timeless” Toni Storm Speaks, Attacked by Athena
Toni Storm addressed Athena’s many nicknames, including “The Fallen Goddess.” She predicted she would send Athena back to America after AEW Forbidden Door. Storm began her closing prayer: “Chin up, tits out, and watch for the…” Before she could finish, Athena struck. Billie Starkz ran out to assist Athena. Storm was overpowered and beaten down. Athena mocked Toni’s act and claimed she would be the forever AEW Women’s Champion.
Mina Shirakawa then made her return. This distracted Athena and Starkz. Storm recovered. Athena dove off the ramp to avoid confrontation. Toni and Mina reunited, celebrating with the crowd. Athena and Starkz seethed backstage, plotting their next move.
How We Got to MJF vs. Hangman Page at Forbidden Door
AEW recapped the Men’s Championship buildup. “Hangman” Adam Page goaded MJF into executing his guaranteed AEW Championship match contract. MJF attacked Page in the parking lot after AEW Dynamite. The feud intensified, setting the stage for Forbidden Door next week in London.
Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta def. JetSpeed
JetSpeed, undefeated as a tag team, faced The Death Riders. Moxley and Yuta gained the early advantage. JetSpeed hit stereo planchas outside the ring. Moxley recovered quickly, evening the score. Yuta was targeted repeatedly by Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey. Moxley hit a German suplex on Bailey on the apron. Marina Shafir interfered with a judo throw, turning the match chaotic.
The match continued with high-flying moves and counters. Knight hit a top-rope hurricanrana into Bailey’s powerbomb. Moxley delivered a Paradigm Shift to Bailey. Yuta low-blowed Knight, then rolled him up for the win. JetSpeed’s perfect streak ended in dramatic fashion.
Ricochet def. Ace Austin
Ace Austin made his AEW debut. He immediately attacked Ricochet outside the ring. Austin displayed amazing speed and agility, stunning the crowd. Ricochet used veteran savvy to control the match. The Gates of Agony watched at ringside. Ricochet hit multiple aerial moves and dominated.
Austin fought back with counters from the top rope. Numbers game interference was attempted, but Ricochet escaped and regained control. Ricochet won with a Spirit Gun. GoA attacked Austin post-match and celebrated with Ricochet, asserting their dominance.
The Hurt Syndicate Backstage
Renee Paquette spoke with Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP. They were unconcerned about challengers in the AEW Tag Team Championship Eliminator Tournament finals. MVP promised to hurt whoever they faced next week. The group laughed off backstage drama, showing confidence in their future.
Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong def. Blake Christian and Lee Johnson
Paragon spoke to Renee before the match. Strong vowed to make Kyle Fletcher pay. O’Reilly and Strong started slightly off-sync. Blake Christian and Lee Johnson used team chemistry early. Strong tagged in and dominated both opponents. Momentum shifted in favor of O’Reilly and Strong.
They regained rhythm and finished the match with teamwork. O’Reilly and Strong picked up the win. Tomohiro Ishii and Hologram celebrated, but Strong remained focused, showing no distractions.
FTR and Stokely vs. Bandido, Brody King Makes the Save
Backstage, Bandido was attacked and his mask stolen. Brody King intervened to save his partner. King fought FTR to the ringside area. Stoke blinded King with powder, leaving him vulnerable. FTR gained control with a Shatter Machine, setting up tension for the AEW Tag Team Title Eliminator finals.
SkyFlight Challenges The Don Callis Family
SkyFlight confronted Don Callis for next week’s AEW Dynamite match. Leila Grey led the charge. The team challenged any match type and left to train, signaling determination and intensity for their upcoming showdown.
Kris Statlander def. Penelope Ford, Anna Jay, Julia Hart ($100K)
Four women competed for $100,000. Statlander gained an early advantage. Hart, Ford, and Jay countered with dynamic offense. Statlander turned a superplex attempt into a double powerbomb. Chaos ensued at the end of the match. Statlander locked Hart in a head scissors submission for the win.
Post-match, Harley Cameron and Megan Bayne intervened. The Triangle of Madness retreated, setting up future rivalries. Statlander celebrated her win amid cheers and congratulations from allies and fans.
Kyle Fletcher vs. Hiromu Takahashi Setup
TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher accepted Hiromu Takahashi’s challenge. Fletcher showed confidence. He vowed that his reign was just starting. Fletcher, Hechicero, and Lance Archer promised dominance against SkyFlight. Don Callis was credited for setting up the match, furthering tension between AEW and NJPW stars.
Juice Robinson def. Bryan Keith

Renee Paquette asked Bowens about Max Caster’s Open Challenge. Bowens refused to discuss Caster. He emphasized his own recent accomplishments, including celebrity appearances. Bowens complained that Caster always overshadowed him, despite Bowens’ own achievements in AEW.
Nigel McGuinness def. Daniel Garcia, Hechicero, Lee Moriarty
The main event was a Technical Spectacle 4-Way. No ringside interference was allowed. Early, Garcia faced Hechicero; McGuinness faced Moriarty. Submission exchanges occurred repeatedly. McGuinness executed the Tower of London on Hechicero. Submissions continued, with all four men desperate for a win.
Finally, McGuinness locked Moriarty in the London Dungeon to claim victory. He advanced to AEW Forbidden Door to face Zack Sabre Jr. for the IWGP World Title. McGuinness celebrated, while Garcia reluctantly agreed to assist him at Forbidden Door.
