Jon Moxley Responds to Darby Allin’s I Quit Match Challenge
Jon Moxley Responds to Darby Allin’s I Quit Match Challenge. This week’s AEW Dynamite ended in pure chaos. In the main event, Kris Statlander defeated Mina Sharakova to capture the AEW Women’s World Championship. Following the victory, Wheeler Yuta and the Death Riders appeared, seemingly trying to recruit Statlander into their ranks. However, she shocked the group by flipping off Jon Moxley before quickly exiting the ring.
The surprises didn’t end there. Moments later, Darby Allin stormed toward the ring wielding a flamethrower, marching straight for Moxley. Still reeling from his brutal loss at All Out 2025, Allin escalated the rivalry by officially challenging Jon Moxley to an “I Quit” match at WrestleDream.
Jon Moxley Answers Back
While Dynamite ended on a cliffhanger, AEW soon released a Digital Exclusive, where Jon Moxley gave his answer to Darby Allin’s challenge. In a raw and chilling promo, Moxley accepted the match and explained exactly what this fight means to him:
“I am nothing if not problematic. The other day, while peeling melted skin off the back of my legs, I realized this is getting personal. For a year, I’ve shown Darby Allin patience and mercy, but he keeps throwing it back in my face. I thought he’d understand what I’m doing, but he doesn’t. He just wants me to play his game—and I know that game better than anyone.
At WrestleDream, an I Quit Match… that’s the game he wants. I’m better at it than him. How do I make Darby Allin stop? How do I make him go away? The answer is simple. Everything that Darby Allin has built himself into—the spirit, the resilience, the fight—he will hand it over to me. How do I get rid of Darby Allin? I’ll make him quit.”
WrestleDream’s High-Stakes Showdown
With Moxley’s fiery response, the stage is now set. At AEW WrestleDream, Darby Allin and Jon Moxley will collide in one of the most brutal stipulations in wrestling: the I Quit Match. The question is no longer if this rivalry will end, but how much destruction both men will endure before one of them finally utters the words, “I quit.”
