#1 — PAC vs. Will Ospreay — All Out 2024
Event: AEW All Out 2024
Match: Will Ospreay vs. PAC
Stakes: AEW International Championship
Result: Will Ospreay retained
PAC vs. Will Ospreay at All Out 2024 is the match that best represents everything PAC became during his AEW career.
By this point, PAC had already experienced championship programs, major singles victories, faction warfare, tournament matches and spectacular multi-man encounters. Against Ospreay, he had the opportunity to combine almost every part of his wrestling identity into one singles performance.
The International Championship gave the match genuine stakes, while the clash between two of AEW’s most explosive wrestlers created the perfect environment for PAC.
From the opening stages, PAC matched Ospreay’s athleticism while bringing his own aggressive edge to the contest. The two traded high-speed exchanges, but PAC repeatedly found ways to slow the match down and turn it into a fight.
PAC hit a series of devastating attacks, including a German suplex on the apron, multiple poisonranas, the Liger Bomb and the Brutalizer. He repeatedly forced Ospreay into situations where the champion appeared close to losing his title.
One of the most important aspects of the match was PAC’s ability to survive Ospreay’s biggest attacks. Every time Ospreay appeared to have the match under control, PAC found another way back into the contest.
The crowd increasingly treated the match as a major occasion, and the two wrestlers continued escalating until Ospreay finally found the combination that allowed him to retain the International Championship.
But the result is not why this match sits at number one.
The reason is PAC himself.
This was PAC at his most complete. He could match Ospreay’s speed, absorb his offense, work a physical style, create believable near-falls and maintain the ruthless personality that had defined him since his arrival in AEW.
It also showed how much PAC had evolved.
The wrestler who initially arrived in AEW as an explosive international star had become a veteran capable of producing a world-class singles match without needing to change who he was.
That is exactly what makes this such an effective career-defining performance.
PAC’s AEW career contains championship opportunities, major victories, factions, tournament matches, spectacular multi-man encounters and battles against some of the greatest wrestlers of his generation.
But when all of those elements are combined into one match, PAC vs. Will Ospreay at All Out 2024 stands apart.
It is fast without becoming empty, physical without losing its athleticism and spectacular without sacrificing PAC’s character or psychology.
Most importantly, it feels like a PAC match.
That is why PAC vs. Will Ospreay at All Out 2024 takes the number-one position on this countdown.
PAC’s AEW career is ultimately a story of consistency and evolution. From his early rivalry with Adam Page and his battles with Kenny Omega to the World Championship three-way with Omega and Orange Cassidy, the Best-of-Seven war with The Elite, his later championship challenges and his unforgettable collision with Ospreay, PAC has repeatedly shown why he belongs among AEW’s most distinctive performers.
