AEW Dynamite Results (Nov 5, 2025) - National Title & Blood & Guts Advantage.
AEW Dynamite Results (Nov 5, 2025) – National Title & Blood & Guts Advantage. Live from Houston, Texas, on TBS and HBO Max, this episode of AEW Dynamite was built around setting the stage for next week’s Blood & Guts (2025) event — and boy did it deliver. Between the Blood & Guts advantage battles, major title announcements, and heavy faction warfare, Dynamite made it clear: momentum matters now.
AEW Dynamite Results Rundown –
The Opps Interrupt Tony Schiavone
The show opened with Tony Schiavone in-ring, poised to announce the next phase of AEW’s title scene. Before he could begin, the music of The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata) hit and all three stormed the ring. Joe grabbed the mic and told Schiavone that “consequences have come for you.” Schiavone attempted to respond, but Joe silenced him with a “SHUT UP!” that echoed through the arena.
The tension escalated when Hangman Adam Page appeared and reminded Joe that he’s the one they should be worried about — still reigning AEW World Champion. Then HOOK and Eddie Kingston ran out to even the odds. Page demanded that The Opps defend their Trios Championships tonight. He laid down the challenge: “Put them on the line against us, now!” Joe accepted. The match was made official.
This opening angle set the tone: authority being challenged, championship stakes raised, and factions clashing. The Opps look dominant and cocky — yet tonight they agreed to defend, introducing real urgency for the main event.
Blood & Guts Advantage Battle Match 1 – Claudio Castagnoli Vs. Orange Cassidy
The first of the men’s Blood & Guts advantage battle series kicked off with Claudio Castagnoli vs. Orange Cassidy. Cassidy exploded out of the gate — flying through the ropes with a tope suicida onto Castagnoli at ringside. Castagnoli responded with power, dumping Cassidy with a vertical suplex across the guardrail and later walking him up the ring steps before slamming him to the mat (Bryan Danielson noted the rope cables add more damage).
Cassidy stayed in with his pockets-pose, hurricanranas and dropkicks, but Castagnoli gradually ground him down with giant swings and uppercuts. In a critical moment, Cassidy hit a top-rope DDT for a near-fall, but Castagnoli answered with a pop-up uppercut and a suplex-into-crossface sequence before finally putting Cassidy away.
Winner: Castagnoli.
Putting the Death Riders up 1-0 in the advantage battle. The pace and execution of this match felt tailor-made for Blood & Guts: controlled brutality, momentum shifts, and a clear message that Castagnoli’s team is here to dominate.
Kyle Fletcher vs. Mark Briscoe Has Major Stipulations
Backstage, Renee Paquette caught up with TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher and challenger Mark Briscoe alongside the ever-scheming Don Callis. Briscoe flatly stated that at Full Gear he wants another shot at Fletcher’s title — this time with no disqualification. Fletcher replied that sounded “like fun.” Don Callis then dropped the bomb: if Briscoe loses, he must join the Don Callis Family.
Briscoe’s jaw-drop moment followed: “So you want my career or my soul?” Callis smirked, “It’s only a deal with the devil if you lose.” Briscoe slammed the mic down: “At Full Gear you’re the one making the deal.”
This segment deepened the stakes: not just a title match, but a fate-altering consequence. Briscoe fighting for pride, Fletcher fighting to keep the belt and not become part of Callis’ group — the tension is real.
Million Dollar Trios Match is Official for Full Gear!
In another backstage segment, Renee spoke with Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson (The Young Bucks), Josh Alexander and Don Callis about Full Gear. Callis declared he’d invest “every last penny” to make sure the Bucks get respect — and they will have the chance to prove themselves in a $1 million Trios Match: The Bucks & Alexander vs. Kenny Omega & Jurassic Express.
Kazuchika Okada strolled out and said simply, “Hi guys.” The Bucks looked stunned, adding an aura of “once-in-a-generation” significance. With money on the line, title ambitions swirling and alliances shifting, this announcement took the show’s intensity to another level.
AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarterfinal – Babes of Wrath Vs. Athena & Mercedes Moné
The quarterfinal match featured Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron (the Babes of Wrath) versus Athena & Mercedes Moné. Athena launched a sneak attack before the bell, turning the momentum early. Moné dominated the ring with strikes and suplexes, targeting Cameron. Nightingale finally tagged in and ran through both opponents, hitting double clotheslines and a double splash. Back in the ring Cam-Nightingale hit stereo kicks, while Moné and Athena appeared confident.
However, after Moné tagged Athena in for a double team, Cameron escaped and tagged Nightingale — who blasted Athena with a cannonball and spinebuster. Athena barely kicked out. In the chaos, Billie Starkz came to ringside with Athena demanding her ROH title be shown off. Meanwhile, AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander ran down and chased Moné to the back, clearing the outside. Nightingale then nailed a Doctor Bomb on Athena and Harley finished her off.
Winners: Babes of Wrath.
The upset is real: a strong statement for Nightingale & Cameron heading into Blood & Guts. Moné & Athena looked unbeatable — yet they’re gone. The tournament bracket just opened up big time.
The AEW National Champion Will Be Crowned in a Casino Gauntlet Match!
Mid-show, Schiavone returned to the ring to deliver a major announcement: AEW National Championship will debut at Full Gear in a Casino Gauntlet featuring 16 entrants. The first two confirmed participants: Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin — accompanied by MVP and aligned as part of The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley and Benjamin cut promos about legacy, history and dominance.
Almost as an afterthought, their rivals — Ricochet, Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun (The Demand) — interrupted. Ricochet taunted the Hurt Syndicate, calling them “old and hobbled,” while MVP fired back: “We hurt people.” The seeds were planted. With the National title coming, the stakes in AEW’s mid-card just exploded.
Jurassic Express Show Some Charity to the Young Bucks
In a lighter yet meaningful backstage beat: “Jungle” Jack Perry and Luchasaurus had a moment with The Bucks. Perry pulled a large knife through a $100 bill outside the Don Callis Family locker room, then admonished Luchasaurus for reaching for it.
The gesture felt like more than gimmick — it was subtle commentary on money vs loyalty, family vs business. With the Million Dollar Trios match looming, this scene quietly set tone for greed and chaos.
Blood & Guts Advantage Battle Match 2 – Darby Allin Vs. Daniel Garcia
Another high-octane advantage battle: Darby Allin versus Daniel Garcia. Allin entered from the crowd, while Garcia stalked him into the ring. The start featured grappling and submission attempts, as Garcia targeted Allin’s neck and arms. Allin fought back with a flip dive through the ropes, then picked up pace with a dropkick and corner offense. Garcia regained control, chopped Allin on the apron, threw him into steel steps and locked in a rear-choke on the top rope.
Just when it seemed Garcia had it, Allin reversed into his own submission and Garcia tapped out — giving the babyface side a 1-1 tie in the advantage battle.
Winner – Darby Allin.
Post-match chaos erupted: PAC hit the ring for Garcia, and the babyface team (including Orange Cassidy) ran in for the save, setting up a full brawl and hinting at multi-man involvement ahead of Blood & Guts.
FTR Gets Personal with Brodido
Tag team heat escalated as FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) invaded a ringside spot alongside Renee Paquette, referencing their win at Forbidden Door and their anticipation for Full Gear. They called out Bandido & Brody King (Brodido) and verbally disrespected Bandido’s family at ringside, especially his grandmother.
The segment boiled over when Brody King’s fist burst through a locker room door, grabbing watching Stokely Hathaway, and the brawl spilled to the ring. This was more than promo—it told us the tag division is headed toward personal war, not just title contention.
Blood & Guts Advantage Battle Match 3 – Megan Bayne Vs. Mina Shirakawa
On the women’s side, the advantage battle began with Megan Bayne defeating Mina Shirakawa (who replaced the injured Queen Aminata). Shirakawa looked to start fast—chopping Bayne’s legs, hitting a drop-kick, and climbing the ropes for a cross-body.
Bayne weathered the storm and responded with a fall-away slam from the top rope, followed by a superplex and running Liger Bomb for the pin. The win gives the heel side of the women’s Blood & Guts series a 1-0 advantage heading into next week.
Winner – Megan Bayne.
Post-match, Marina Shafir attacked Toni Storm at ringside and chaos erupted with Jamie Hayter, Bayne, Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron all mixing it up. With next week’s women’s Blood & Guts match looming, the stage is set for explosive collision.
AEW World Trios Championship Match – The Opps (c) Vs. Hangman Page, HOOK & Eddie Kingston
Main event time: the newly announced Trios match became contestable championship gold. The defending champs, The Opps (Joe, Hobbs, Shibata) faced the trio of Page, HOOK & Kingston. The opening minutes were violent — Page and Shibata trading stiff strikes, HOOK flying from the apron, Kingston battling savagely. But things turned when HOOK’s lower back gave out following Hobbs’ back-breaker combo.
Kingston got his shot, but Hobbs neutralized him with a table slam through the stage, then returned to the ring where Shibata and Joe isolated HOOK and Page. Hobbs loaded up Page on his shoulder, drove him into the ring corner, Shibata hit a leg trip on HOOK and Joe locked in a submission. HOOK tapped out.
Winners: The Opps retain the AEW World Trios Championships.
And make no mistake: Hobbs was dominant, Shibata filled the ring with menace, Joe orchestrated it. The challengers looked valiant — especially Page — but the champs looked ruthless. According to reviews, HOOK tapping felt like a weak link moment for the babyface side.
Final Thoughts
This episode of AEW Dynamite delivered in key areas. The Blood & Guts advantage battles provided meaningful momentum swings and logical outcomes: Castagnoli and Bayne’s wins make sense for their teams. The women’s tag upset of Moné & Athena will reverberate for weeks. The announcement of the National Championship added serious stakes to the AEW ladder. The tag team and trios angles feel layered with personal vendettas. The only criticism? The tap-out finish on HOOK might hurt his credibility if not followed up properly, and one or two segments overstayed their welcome.
But overall: this was a crisp, purposeful episode that didn’t just spin plates — it set things in motion for next week and beyond. Grade for the night? Strong B+. The heat is rising for Blood & Guts and Full Gear.
