AEW Grand Slam Australia Results: MJF vs. Hangman Set for Revolution, Yuta Shaved Bald, and Full Results
AEW Grand Slam Australia 2026 Results: MJF Retains, Kross Debut, Yuta Shaved Bald. What a massive night of professional wrestling as AEW Grand Slam Australia took over Sydney for a historic broadcast. Between major homecomings, four high-stakes title matches, and a brutal hair-shaving stipulation, the event delivered a jam-packed card for the fans in attendance. The energy inside the arena remained at a fever pitch from the opening bell to the final confrontation, marking this as one of the most significant international stops in the company’s history.
From the technical intensity of the Continental Championship opening the show to the high-risk carnage of a “Hair vs. Hair” match and a blood-soaked ladder war, the night was defined by career-altering moments. As the event concluded in Sydney, the championship landscape has shifted significantly, with several long-standing rivalries reaching their breaking points and a definitive World Title main event established for the next major pay-per-view.
AEW Grand Slam Australia 2026
AEW Dynamite begins.
AEW Continental Championship Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita
The night got off to a raucous start as the AEW Continental Champion, Jon Moxley, made his solo entrance through the crowd with a smirk he couldn’t hide—the look of a man at home in the arena of battle. Takeshita caught Mox with a boot in the opening seconds and immediately went for Raging Fire, but Moxley escaped and tried a Death Rider, which Takeshita got out of to end the exchange in a stalemate.
Moxley and Takeshita grappled with both men looking for submissions until Moxley switched the tone with a big chop to break free. They exchanged explosive chops until Moxley goaded Takeshita into a pattern and kicked him in the gut. Moxley then charged through the ropes with a dive that landed on the head and shoulder of Takeshita before Moxley himself crashed to the floor and into the guardrail.
Inside the ring, Takeshita crushed Mox with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near-fall. Moxley responded by mounting Takeshita in the corner and raining down punches, but Takeshita powerbombed him out of the corner for another close count. With 30 seconds remaining, Moxley hit a massive lariat and Takeshita came back with a rolling elbow, but both men kicked out at one. Takeshita nailed a running knee to the back of Moxley’s head just as the bell rang.
Draw: Jon Moxley Retains the AEW Continental Championship
After the match, Moxley was visibly angry with the result. After coming face-to-face with Takeshita, the two came to blows, and Takeshita put Moxley down with the Raging Fire!
AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Match: The Babes of Wrath (c) vs. MegaBad
Australia’s own Harley Cameron began the match for The Babes of Wrath, facing off against “Megasus” Megan Bayne. Cameron ran at Bayne at the bell and jumped into her arms, but Bayne threw her into the corner with ease. Ford and Bayne made quick tags while punishing Cameron in the corner until she finally elbowed her way out and ran across to tag Willow Nightingale.
Nightingale won the power battle with a German suplex that sent Bayne to the outside. She then went to the apron and took out both members of MegaBad with a cannonball on the floor before stacking them in the corner for a lariat and a dropkick from the second rope. However, the advantage didn’t last long, as Nightingale found herself in trouble for an extended period with no way to make a tag back to Cameron.
The finish came when Cameron reversed Bayne out of the corner and locked in a single-leg crab, but Penelope Ford was there to break it up. Nightingale put Ford on the mat with a thundering overhand shot, but was immediately put down by Bayne. Cameron kicked Bayne in the gut and nailed an Australian Destroyer, leaving everyone down. Finally, Cameron reversed a running clothesline from Ford into a backslide to secure the three-count.
Winners: The Babes of Wrath
As Nightingale and Cameron celebrated, Australian standout Lena Kross appeared behind them! Kross spun Cameron around and dropped her with a fireman’s carry cutter as Bayne speared Nightingale. Kross has aligned herself with MegaBad, as they posed with all the gold.
World Title #1 Contender Match: “Hangman” Adam Page vs. Andrade El Ídolo
Andrade posed on Page after a shoulder block early on, but Page came right back at him with chops and a fallaway slam. Andrade fought back and bounced Page’s head off the apron, even taking a distraction to get a selfie with a fan. Page countered by offering to take a selfie with the same woman, which she obliged, though Page graciously declined a kiss as a married man.
Inside the ring, Andrade stopped a suplex with a headbutt and tried to sunset flip bomb Page. Page tried a moonsault and landed on his feet, but Andrade met him with a Spanish fly for a near-fall. After Andrade worked Page down on the mat, he got a little too cocky by slapping Page, which brought “Hangman” to his feet where he won control with a series of heavy forearms.
Page caught Andrade with a basement clothesline and threw him back in the ring for a flying clothesline from the top. Andrade escaped a Deadeye and hit Three Amigos, followed by a moonsault and a spinning back elbow, but Page kicked out. The finish saw Don Callis on the apron for a distraction; as Andrade tried to counter with a low blow, Page was ready and hit a low blow of his own before connecting with the Buckshot Lariat.
Winner: “Hangman” Adam Page
With the victory, Page has officially earned an AEW World Title shot on March 15 at AEW Revolution in Los Angeles.
Mixed Tornado Tag Hair Match: Storm & Cassidy vs. Shafir & Yuta
Storm and Cassidy came out in matching denim for a match that began in the stands with both pairs in different parts of the arena. Yuta took advantage of Cassidy after a low blow, then sent Storm on top of a road case and connected with a piledriver. While Storm was helped to the back by medical personnel, Shafir and Yuta were all over Cassidy in the ring, using judo throws to keep him grounded.
The crowd came alive as Storm marched back down the aisle and hit the ring to unload on Shafir with suplexes. Cassidy and Storm even shared a proper dance before OC sent Storm into Shafir with a pair of strikes. Shafir caught Storm on the third attempt, but Cassidy ducked a swing and hit Shafir with a Beach Break. Storm and Shafir then decided to exchange strikes until Storm put Shafir down with a headbutt.
In the closing sequence, Cassidy dove onto Shafir on the outside while Storm snatched Yuta for a hip attack in the corner. Cassidy returned to the ring and hit the Orange Punch on Yuta, sending him into Storm for the Storm Zero. Storm covered Yuta for the three-count, ensuring Yuta would have to have his head shaved.
Winners: Toni Storm & Orange Cassidy
Because he was pinned, Yuta’s head was shaved. Mina Shirakawa joined the ring to take the first cut as revenge. Jon Moxley met a fleeing Yuta in the crowd and forced him back to the ring! Storm, Cassidy, and Luther (dressed as a barber) took turns with the buzzer, leaving Yuta with a misshapen, mullet-like style.
TNT Championship Ladder Match: Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Mark Briscoe
With the TNT Title hanging high above, it was time for the seventh matchup between Fletcher and Briscoe. They exchanged blows at the bell until Briscoe knocked Fletcher to the outside and followed with a flip through the ropes. Briscoe recovered and kicked a ladder into Fletcher, but Fletcher fought back with a half-and-half on the floor and later busted out a moonsault off a ladder.
Briscoe was eventually busted open on top of his head after being lawn-darted into a ladder. Briscoe recovered to slam Fletcher into the ladder and threw him backwards from halfway up to the mat before flooring him with a ladder to the forehead, which left Fletcher busted wide open as well. Briscoe then leapt from the top rope with a Froggy Bow to Fletcher across a ladder bridged on the floor.
In the final moments, Fletcher delivered a super brainbuster from the top of the ladder to the mat, leaving both men down. Briscoe climbed up the broken pieces of a ladder while Fletcher grabbed his boot. Briscoe touched the title, but Fletcher sprang back up to stop him. Fletcher managed to kick Briscoe off his ladder to the mat, giving him the opening to unhook the TNT Title.
Winner: Kyle Fletcher
Kyle Fletcher retains the TNT Title in his hometown of Sydney, taking a 4-3 advantage in his storied rivalry with Briscoe.
AEW World Championship Match: MJF (c) vs. Brody King
The main event saw MJF bailing to the floor early to whip the fans into a frenzy before returning to take a shortcut with a kick to the gut. MJF systematically slammed King’s left leg around the ring post and stayed on it in the ring, locking in an ankle lock. King finally rolled out to send MJF to the outside and hit a dive through the ropes that sent MJF nearly halfway up the ramp!
King punished MJF in the corner with chops and a cannonball, but his injured leg was clearly hurting his power. MJF was able to slip onto King’s back with a sleeper, nearly putting the challenger out until ROH World Champion Bandido arrived to encourage King. King got to his feet and fell back on MJF with a senton, then later hit a Gonzo Bomb that MJF barely survived by kicking out at the last possible second.
The finish came after a series of high-impact moves on the apron. MJF pounded King’s knee and then pulled the pad down so he could bite it. MJF then tombstoned King on the apron and followed up with the Heat Seeker to retain the championship.
Winner: MJF
Just seconds after the win, “Hangman” Adam Page stormed the ring and signed the contract for their Revolution match, dropping it at MJF’s feet to end the night.
