AEW has 11 wrestlers inside the Top 25 this year, compared with seven in the 2025 Top 25, while several of the company’s biggest names have undergone significant movement.
MJF leads the AEW contingent at No. 1 overall, jumping from No. 30 in 2025. Konosuke Takeshita also made a major leap into the Top Five, while Bandido improved his position. At the same time, Jon Moxley and Swerve Strickland experienced substantial drops compared with their 2025 placements.

MJF Goes From No. 30 to No. 1
The defining story of the AEW PWI 500 2026 Performance is MJF.
After finishing No. 30 in 2025, MJF has jumped 29 places to become the No. 1 wrestler in the 2026 PWI 500. That is not simply the biggest AEW improvement; it represents a move from outside the Top 25 all the way to the summit of the entire ranking.
Konosuke Takeshita also made a major climb. The former No. 17 has moved to No. 5, gaining 12 positions and becoming AEW’s second-highest-ranked wrestler. His position puts him directly behind Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Místico and MJF.
Hangman Adam Page remains near the very top despite dropping two places. The AEW World Champion has moved from No. 4 to No. 6, meaning he remains one of the six highest-ranked wrestlers on the entire list.
Four More AEW Names Enter the Top 25
The 2026 list also features Darby Allin, Kenny Omega and Kyle Fletcher inside the Top 25 after they were outside that range in 2025.
Darby is ranked No. 12, while Omega sits at No. 15 and Fletcher at No. 21. Their inclusion gives AEW additional representation beyond the wrestlers who were already inside last year’s Top 25.

Fletcher’s No. 21 position is also notable given his increased prominence in AEW’s singles picture and his involvement in major championship programs during 2026.
Moxley and Swerve Experience the Biggest Drops
The other side of the comparison involves some substantial declines.
Jon Moxley has fallen from No. 2 in 2025 to No. 19 in 2026, a 17-place drop. Despite that movement, he remains inside the Top 20.
Swerve Strickland has experienced an even larger decline. After finishing No. 7 last year, Swerve is ranked No. 25 this year, dropping 18 positions.
Will Ospreay and Kazuchika Okada have also moved down six places each. Ospreay went from No. 10 to No. 16, while Okada moved from No. 11 to No. 17.

AEW’s Top 25 Representation Has Grown
The overall numbers provide perhaps the clearest picture of AEW’s PWI 500 2026 Performance.
2025: 7 AEW wrestlers in the Top 25
2026: 11 AEW wrestlers in the Top 25
That is an increase of four wrestlers.
More importantly, the movement within that group is substantial. MJF has risen 29 places to No. 1, Takeshita has entered the Top Five, Bandido has climbed five positions, and three additional AEW names — Darby Allin, Kenny Omega and Kyle Fletcher — have entered the Top 25.
At the same time, Moxley and Swerve have fallen sharply, while Page, Ospreay and Okada have experienced smaller declines.
The result is a significantly reshaped AEW presence in the 2026 PWI 500. Rather than simply retaining last year’s names, AEW has added new representation while producing one of the biggest individual ranking jumps in the history of this year’s list through MJF’s rise from No. 30 to No. 1.
