Jon Moxley Shares Powerful PAC Tribute After AEW Dynamite. Jon Moxley delivered a heartfelt message to the Pittsburgh crowd after AEW Dynamite went off the air on September 30, 2026. Following an emotional night dedicated to PAC, Moxley admitted that he did not have any “special or smart or genius words” for the situation. Instead, he shared one of his favorite things PAC had ever said and turned it into a message about how to live life with purpose.
Jon Moxley Reflects on an Unexpected Night in Pittsburgh
Moxley began by thanking the Pittsburgh audience for being part of an evening that was very different from what they expected when they purchased their wrestling tickets.
“Thank you, Pittsburgh, for tonight. I know this wasn’t what anybody expected when they bought a pair of wrestling tickets. But this was something really special,” Moxley said.
He also thanked the fans for sharing the emotional experience with the AEW roster.
“A lot of people tonight tried to put into words something when there is no words,” Moxley continued. “I don’t have any special or smart or genius words for the situation. I don’t have words, but I wanted to share this one thing.”
Instead of attempting to explain the loss, Moxley chose to remember something PAC once said that had stayed with him.
PAC’s “Professionals Who Give a Shit” Philosophy
Moxley recalled one of his favorite lines PAC ever delivered, explaining that it came while the two were working on promos together.
“The PAC one time. That was one of the most— one of my favorite lines anybody’s ever said, in specific to us,” Moxley said.
Moxley remembered sitting in a sauna in his basement while working on promos. The setting became part of the presentation as they tried to explain who they were, what their team represented, and what they did every day.
Then PAC delivered a line that Moxley said has remained one of his favorites.
“And he said, forgive my language, he said, ‘We are professionals who give a shit,’” Moxley recalled.
For Moxley, the phrase represented much more than a description of their professional wrestling careers. He explained that it was a simpler and more memorable way of describing the standards they wanted to hold themselves to every day.
“And it’s probably my favorite thing anybody has ever said and what we aspire to,” Moxley said. “It’s just a cooler, funner way to say what we aspire to every single day.”
Jon Moxley’s Message: Give a Shit About What You Do
Moxley then expanded PAC’s words beyond professional wrestling. He told the Pittsburgh crowd that the philosophy could apply to anyone, regardless of their job or responsibilities.
“And you’re not everybody’s a pro wrestler, maybe you do something else. But whatever you do with your time while you’re here every single day, give a shit,” Moxley said.
“If you’re gonna do something, do it well.”
Moxley used ordinary examples to explain what he meant. Whether someone is cooking an omelet, going to work, or picking their children up from school and taking them to the park, he encouraged people to approach those moments with purpose.
“If you’re gonna cook an omelet, if you’re gonna go to your jobs, if you’re gonna pick your kids up from school and take them to the park, whatever it is you do, do it with purpose and give a shit,” Moxley said.
“Do it with purpose.”
The message transformed one of PAC’s memorable phrases into a broader reflection on life and the importance of caring about the things people choose to do.
Moxley Says Surrounding Yourself With the Right People Matters
Moxley also connected PAC’s philosophy to the people we choose to surround ourselves with.
“And surround yourself with people that you love, and also give a shit about the same things that you’re doing,” Moxley said.
He acknowledged that he did not have all the answers, but suggested that PAC’s philosophy might contain something important about how people should approach their lives.
“I don’t know, because I don’t know anything, but that might be the key to life,” Moxley said.
Moxley’s closing message gave the crowd something to take away from an otherwise heartbreaking evening. Rather than attempting to provide an explanation for something that could not be explained, he chose to preserve one of PAC’s most meaningful ideas and encourage everyone to live with purpose.
“So thank you, Pittsburgh.”
